    Introduction [Biosketch]

    • Biswarup Ganguly (Member, IEEE) received his B. Tech degree in Electrical Engineering from West Bengal University of Technology (Presently known as Maulana Abul Kalam Azad University of Technology) in 2013, M. Tech degree in Intelligent Automation & Robotics from Jadavpur University in 2016, and Ph.D. degree in Electrical Engineering from Jadavpur University in 2022.
    • Currently, he is working as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Electrical Engineering at NIT Silchar. Before that, he served as an Assistant Professor at Meghnad Saha Institute of Technology, Kolkata, India (Jan. 2020 – Oct. 2023) and as Guest Faculty at the School of Bioscience & Engineering (Biomedical Engineering) in Jadavpur University (Apr- Oct. 2023). Currently, he is the Treasurer of the IEEE Industry Applications Society Jt. Chapter of Silchar Subsection, and Execom Member of IEEE Signal Processing Society Kolkata Chapter. He also served as the Chapter Advisor of the IEEE Signal Processing Society Student Branch Chapter (2021-2023).
    • His research interests include condition monitoring of electrical and biomedical systems and applications of vision-based measurement systems. He has more than 50 publications in reputed journals (including 10 IEEE Transactions/ Letters) and conference proceedings and also serves as a reviewer in many IEEE Transactions and Journals. Dr. Ganguly was the recipient of the University Gold Medal in 2016 awarded by Jadavpur University, Outstanding Young Researcher Award in 2021 awarded by IEEE Signal Processing Society Kolkata Chapter, and three best paper awards between 2018 and 2023.
