Introduction [Biosketch]

  • Dr. B.K. Roy was born in Dibrugarh, Assam (India) in 1961. He completed his earlier schooling from Dibrugarh Bengali High School, Dibrugarh. He did Pre-university from Dibrugarh H.S. Konoi College, Dibrugarh during 1977 to 1979. After completing B.E. in Electrical Engineering from REC Silchar, he joined as lecturer in Electrical Engg. Department, REC(presently NIT), Silchar during 1986. Subsequently, he completed his M.Tech.(in 1989) with Control Systems specialization and Ph.D. (in 1998) both from IIT Kharagpur, India. At present he is working as Professor in the Department of Electrical Engineering, NIT Silchar.
